Deputy Manager - Aylesbury

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Manager to join Good Oaks Home Care’s office in Aylesbury.

Joining a start-up business, you’ll be involved in growing the business and working with the leadership team to influence the direction of the business.

In this role, you will be assisting the registered manager with the successful running of the branch, and deputising for him/her when they are out of the office.

Main responsibilities:

  • To manage client enquiries from initial enquiry through to care assessments and writing care plans
  • To assist the Registered manager in the legal and ethical running of the branch, including maintaining CQC compliance;
  • To ensure clients receive medication in a safe, standardised way;
  • Participate actively in growing the business, by developing relationships with referrers and seeking out business opportunities;
  • Maintain the quality of staffing, including regularly reviewing recruitment practices and procedures, ensuring training is appropriate and up-to-date;
  • To undertake and record Quality Assurance procedures;
  • Keeping staff and clients safe, including following safeguarding procedures when appropriate, and accurately reporting incidents, accidents and near misses;
  • To work effectively with outside health professionals;
  • Motivate and provide leadership.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of leading and managing in the care sector;
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and decision making;
  • Be a confident user of computers, including Excel, Word, Outlook and rostering programs
  • Be a perfectionist, with an eye for detail;
  • Have an ability to multi-task;
  • Be a team player with an ability to follow and give instructions where appropriate
