Registered Manager - Shape the Next Chapter of GoodOaks Bedford
GoodOaks Homecare Bedford
£38,000–£43,000 per year, plus performance-related bonus and paid on-call duties
Are you an experienced care leader ready to take ownership of a well-established homecare service and help it grow? GoodOaks Bedford is looking for a confident, ambitious Registered Manager to lead our team, protect the quality we are known for and guide the service through its next stage of development.
You will be joining a respected local provider with an experienced team, a loyal client base and a strong reputation for personalised care. This is an opportunity to build on solid foundations - not to turn around a struggling service - and to work closely with an engaged Director who is committed to investing in the business, its people and its future.
Our visiting care and live-in care services help people remain safe, independent and happy in the homes they love. As a key member of the leadership team, you will have genuine influence over how we support clients, develop colleagues and expand our reach across Bedford and the surrounding area.
The role
As Registered Manager, you will lead the quality, compliance and day-to-day operation of the service while partnering with the Director to deliver sustainable growth.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Taking overall responsibility for the safe, effective and compliant running of the service
Acting as the CQC Registered Manager and maintaining full regulatory compliance
Leading, coaching and developing both the care team and office team
Protecting and continually improving our standards of person-centred care
Completing client consultations, care assessments, care plans and new-client onboarding
Keeping care plans and risk assessments accurate, effective and up to date
Responding positively to feedback, concerns and complaints and turning learning into improvement
Supporting effective recruitment, induction, supervision and ongoing colleague development
Building trusted relationships with clients, families, health and care professionals and local stakeholders
Growing professional networks across Bedford and nearby communities
Working with the Director to identify opportunities for both visiting care and live-in care
Strengthening the excellent local reputation GoodOaks Bedford has already established
About you
You will combine strong care-sector leadership with the drive and commercial awareness to help an established service reach more people.
We would like to hear from candidates who:
Have leadership or management experience in health and social care, ideally in domiciliary or homecare services
Understand CQC-regulated services and the legal and regulatory framework for adult social care
Are passionate about safe, responsive and genuinely person-centred care
Can inspire, support and hold a team accountable while creating a positive culture
Are comfortable making decisions, taking responsibility and adapting under pressure
Communicate clearly and organise their work effectively
Can build strong relationships with clients, families, professionals and community partners
Bring a proactive, resilient and commercially aware approach
Can participate in the shared out-of-hours on-call rota, with additional payment for on-call duties
Are willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check
Hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or an equivalent qualification, is highly desirable. We are also happy to consider strong candidates who are working towards the qualification or have the right experience and are prepared to complete it.
Why GoodOaks Bedford?
You will join a successful service with meaningful potential for further growth. You will work alongside a supportive and involved Director, with the autonomy to lead and the backing to succeed. Your ideas will help shape our team, our services and the experience we provide to clients and families.
What we offer
Salary of £38,000–£43,000, based on experience and qualifications
Performance-related annual bonus linked to clear, achievable targets
Additional payment for taking part in the on-call rota
Regular performance and salary reviews
Reimbursement of the Enhanced DBS check fee
Ongoing training, professional development and practical support
Support from the experienced GoodOaks franchise team
